Sayori (サヨリ) is one of the five main characters of Doki Doki Literature Club!, one of the five members and the Vice President of the Literature Club, and MC's childhood friend.

In World Context[]
In the Sans Nagito universe, she helps Sans and Nagito fight Monika. She attempts suicide in late Act I, but is stopped by Kaede and recruited to join the hope cult. She is also a high-school dropout as of Act II.
Relationships[]
Monika[]
Sayori's opinion on Monika changes throughout the series during the late parts of Act I, she feels neutral towards Monika. In the later half of the series (Act VI - Act X) Sayori, alongside Natsuki and Yuri, grew to like Monika less and less from her actions. Her relationship with Monika had ended on a bad note as a result of Sayori being killed by her.
Kaede[]
The two had met in the final moments of the Prologue (a.k.a. Act I) during the events of DDLC after Sayori confessed to the protagonist had been rejected and fell into a depression. She had soon met Kaede, who had convinced her to forget about the protagonist and should join the hope cult. Sayori feels very close to Kaede and cares for her as much as she had for the DDLC Protagonist.
